Celtx

Celtx is an online platform for screen writing and film production. It covers the full path from a first idea to a finished shoot. You write your script in the editor, then build beat sheets and storyboards around it. The same project then holds your breakdown, shot list, schedule, and budget. It is made for film, TV, and interactive media teams. New accounts start with a short trial of the paid features. Check celtx.com for current plan details before you choose.

Key Features

1. Screenplay editor

The editor formats your script as you write. It keeps a full history of revisions, feedback, and approvals inside the same project.

2. Beat sheets and storyboards

You plan the story with a beat sheet before you write pages. Storyboards then turn scenes into visual panels you can share with your team.

3. Breakdowns and shot lists

Celtx breaks your script into elements like cast, props, and locations. It then builds a catalog and shot lists for your shoot days.

4. Schedules, budgets, and call sheets

You can build a shooting schedule and a budget with cost reports. Celtx also makes call sheets and script sides for cast and crew.

5. Real-time collaboration

Co-writers see each other work with presence awareness. Text-anchored comments keep feedback tied to the exact line it is about.

6. Adobe Premiere Pro plugin

A Premiere Pro plugin connects your script to the edit. Your production work in Celtx stays close to your footage in post-production.
