A man gets a late-night landline call. A masked stranger appears outside his bedroom window. The caller tells him to look out the window — and by the end, the masked man walks away with the cookie box.
This post shows exactly how to recreate that idea with your own character, outfit and product, without losing face, outfit or product consistency from shot to shot.
The trick is not one short prompt
One short prompt will change the face in shot 3, change the shirt in shot 5, and move or duplicate the product. The method that works is a locked master prompt: same room, same two characters, same product, same camera rules, same dialogue order, and clean hard cuts between all 11 shots.
What you need: 3 reference images, in this order
Attach them in Wizstar in this order. The order matters, because the prompt refers to them as Image 1, 2 and 3.
Image 1 — The Man (character only)
The man with long wavy black hair and a beard, shown from the front, side, full front and back. Use only his face, hairstyle, hair colour, skin tone and identity. Do not use his clothing or background from this sheet — he is wearing a black jacket and brown cargo trousers there, and that is not the final outfit.
Image 2 — The Outfit (clothing only)
Medium-blue denim overshirt/jacket with a collar and rolled sleeves, a blue-and-white vertical striped button-down shirt underneath, relaxed beige/khaki trousers, a brown leather belt with a metal buckle, and cream/white canvas sneakers. Use exactly these garments, fabrics, colours and accessories. Do not use the model or background.
Image 3 — The Product (box only)
The blue-and-white “crumble” gable-top cookie box, shown from the front, sides, top, bottom, open view and close-up. Reproduce the exact shape, size, materials, colours, branding and lettering. Do not use its background.
Note: in the uploads, the box was the second image and the outfit was the third. In the prompt, the outfit is Image 2 and the box is Image 3 — swap them when you attach, or the references will be reversed.
Character lock
Use the same male character reference in every shot. Do not regenerate a new face for each shot. Keep face, hair, beard, skin tone and body proportions consistent, and do not let the product or bedroom reference change the character. The masked man is a separate character. He must never inherit the protagonist's face.
Outfit lock
The final outfit is intentionally 1990s-inspired, and it stays identical in every shot: blue denim overshirt, striped shirt underneath, khaki trousers, brown belt, cream sneakers. If a generation changes the shirt, trousers or shoes, regenerate that shot instead of trying to fix continuity later.
Product lock
Treat the cookie box as the hero prop. There is exactly one box. It stays in the same design, scale and position — on the front edge of the nightstand — in every shot, and it is not moved until Shot 10. No duplicated box, no disappearing box.
The bedroom set, locked first
American suburban bedroom at night. Cream walls, beige carpet, pink satin bedding and pillows, and a wide white multi-pane sash window on the back wall, with cream curtains and raised wooden blinds. Outside: dark green lawn, shrubs, a white fence and a few warm garden lights.
At the right end of the bed, inside the room and well in front of the window wall, is a white wooden nightstand. The product sits at its front edge. Behind it is a white 1990s corded landline phone and a cream-shaded lamp. The nightstand must never appear outdoors, or directly underneath the window.
Camera and eyeline rules
Interior camera: inside the bedroom, facing the window.
Exterior camera: on the lawn, facing into the bedroom through the window.
Before 00:08.6, the protagonist faces into the room and looks toward the bedroom door.
He turns toward the window only after the full line “Look out the window.”
The exterior over-the-shoulder shot shows him from behind, so his face is hidden.

PROTAGONIST: “Who is this?”
MASKED MAN: “Look out the window.”

Sound design
Vintage landline ring at 00:00.0, quiet night ambience throughout, faint phone static during the call, a low suspense drone under the dialogue, a short accent on the product zoom in Shot 06, a sharp sting at the discovery around 00:09.0, footsteps and fabric movement, and a window creak when the sash is raised.
Copy/paste master prompt
PromptCopy
One 15-second cinematic mystery commercial in the style of a 1996 American theatrical thriller. Eleven shots joined by clean hard cuts. Natural English dialogue, suspense sound design, two consistent male characters, one bedroom. ## FORMAT Duration: 15 seconds. Aspect ratio: 9:16 vertical. Motion: natural 24 fps cinema. Audio: synchronized English dialogue and atmospheric sound effects. --- ## REFERENCES **@Image 1 – THE MAN.** Use his face, hairstyle, hair color, skin tone and identity. Do not use his clothing or background. **@Image 2 – THE MAN'S OUTFIT.** Dress him in exactly these garments, fabrics, colors and accessories. Do not use this face or background. **@Image 3 – THE PRODUCT.** Reproduce this exact item: shape, size, materials, colors, branding and lettering. Do not use its background. It is small enough to stand on a nightstand and stays recognizable in wide and close shots. The bedroom and the masked man come only from this text. --- ## THE BEDROOM – SAME IN EVERY SHOT An American suburban bedroom at night, cream walls, beige carpet. **WINDOW:** a wide white wooden multi-pane sash window on the back wall, three vertical sections, cream curtains, wooden blinds pulled up. The lower center sash slides up. Outside: a dark green lawn, shrubs, a white fence, a few distant warm garden lights. **BED:** pink satin bedding and pillows. The bed stands in front of the window and runs left to right across the room. **NIGHTSTAND:** a white wooden nightstand at the RIGHT end of the bed, closer to the camera than the bed. It stands on the carpet inside the room, well in front of the window wall. On it: the product from **@Image 3** at the front edge with clear space around it, a white corded 1990s landline phone behind it, a cream-shaded lamp in the back corner. He reaches the phone easily from the bed. --- ## ORIENTATION **INTERIOR CAMERA:** inside the room, facing the window. It sees the man's face, the nightstand with the product in the right foreground, the window behind him and the masked man in the window. **EXTERIOR CAMERA:** on the lawn, facing into the room through the window. It sees the masked man's back in the foreground and the protagonist from behind: the back of his head, his hair down his back, his shoulders. His gaze: until 00:08.6 he sits with his back to the window and his face toward the room. His eyes rest on the bedroom door, just off the left edge of the interior frame. He is absorbed in the call. At 00:08.6, after the full line "Look out the window", he turns toward the window. This is his only turn toward the masked man. --- ## THE MAN The man from **@Image 1** in the outfit from **@Image 2**. In the first frame he is already awake, reclining on the pillows, his whole body naturally on the mattress. He has a natural masculine appearance and believable male proportions. His identity, face, hairstyle, hair color, skin tone and facial features remain exactly consistent with **@Image 1**. Emotional arc: relaxed, friendly, surprised, uncertain, startled, fleeing. Natural breathing, natural blinking, believable facial acting and realistic masculine body movement. --- ## THE MASKED MAN About 188 cm, slender. Long matte-black hooded theatrical robe, wide sleeves, black fabric gloves, dark boots. Smooth ivory expressionless mask with long dark eye openings, a sculpted nose bridge and a vertical oval mouth opening, framed by the deep black hood. He holds one white cordless phone in his LEFT hand against the left side of the mask. Slow, measured, deliberate movement. Voice deep, quiet, monotone, lightly phone-filtered. He lowers the phone only after the protagonist's startled reaction. --- ## STYLE Late-1990s American mystery-thriller cinema. 35mm motion-picture look, Kodak 500T-style photochemical color, vintage spherical lenses, natural 24 fps motion blur, fine organic grain, soft highlight halation, smooth photochemical contrast. One restored 1996 theatrical print. Interior: warm tungsten amber, peach skin tones, pink satin, cream highlights, practical lamp light. Exterior: cold blue-green night, dark foliage, pale moonlight, window reflections, small warm garden lights. Same grain, grade, light direction and shadows in every shot. Product colors stay exactly as in **@Image 3**. Camera: stable wide compositions, natural medium shots, restrained close-ups, one exterior over-the-shoulder, one vintage optical zoom, clean hard cuts. --- ## DIALOGUE – each line once, by its speaker, in this order **MAN:** "Hello?" **MASKED MAN:** "Hello..." **MASKED MAN:** "Wanna play a game?" **MAN:** "What?" **MAN:** "Who is this?" **MASKED MAN:** "Look out the window." **MAN:** "Ah!" – one brief startled gasp. --- # TIMELINE ## SHOT 01 | 00:00.0–00:01.0 | INTERIOR WIDE, static Camera inside the room facing the window. He reclines awake on the pink bed, facing the camera, the window behind him. The yard is empty. Right foreground: the nightstand fully in frame, the product and the landline clearly visible. 00:00.0 the landline rings. 00:00.1–00:00.7 he lifts the receiver from its base in one quick motion. 00:00.7–00:01.0 he brings it to his ear and starts to sit up, facing the camera. **HARD CUT.** --- ## SHOT 02 | 00:01.0–00:01.8 | INTERIOR MEDIUM He sits with the receiver at his ear, facing the camera, back to the window, eyes on the door. 00:01.0 he smiles. **MAN:** "Hello?" As he speaks, the masked man walks into the yard from the left edge of the window and stops at the center pane, phone against his mask. **HARD CUT.** --- ## SHOT 03 | 00:01.8–00:03.9 | EXTERIOR OVER-THE-SHOULDER Camera on the lawn behind the masked man's LEFT shoulder, looking into the lit bedroom. Foreground: his hood, left shoulder and the white phone at his mask. Through the glass: the man on the bed from behind. The back of his head, his hair down his back, his shoulders, the receiver at his ear. He faces deeper into the room. His face is hidden by his head and hair. 00:01.9 **MASKED MAN:** "Hello..." Brief pause. 00:02.6 **MASKED MAN:** "Wanna play a game?" He stands nearly motionless. **HARD CUT.** --- ## SHOT 04 | 00:03.9–00:05.4 | INTERIOR MEDIUM Right foreground: the nightstand with the product, sharp and fully visible. Midground: the man facing the camera, receiver at his ear, eyes on the door. Background: the masked man in the window behind him. 00:04.0 **MAN:** "What?" Short confused pause. 00:04.7 **MAN:** "Who is this?" His face stays clearly visible. He finishes the line before the cut. **HARD CUT.** --- ## SHOT 05 | 00:05.4–00:06.3 | EXTERIOR FRONTAL CLOSE-UP The mask and hood fill the frame, the white phone at the left side of the mask. He looks into the room at the product on the nightstand and tilts his head about 30 degrees sideways. Holds the tilt. No dialogue. **HARD CUT.** --- ## SHOT 06 | 00:06.3–00:07.5 | INTERIOR PRODUCT CLOSE-UP The product on the nightstand. 00:06.3–00:06.9 fast vintage optical zoom toward it. 00:06.9–00:07.5 hold a sharp product close-up: exact shape, branding, materials, proportions. Behind it, the man is a soft blur deeper in the room, facing the camera side. **HARD CUT.** --- ## SHOT 07 | 00:07.5–00:08.6 | INTERIOR WIDE – same framing as Shot 01 Right foreground: the nightstand with the product and the landline. The man faces the camera, back to the window, eyes on the door. The masked man stands in the window behind him, phone at his mask. 00:07.6 **MASKED MAN**, calm, low monotone: "Look out the window." He keeps his eyes on the door through the whole sentence. **HARD CUT.** --- ## SHOT 08 | 00:08.6–00:10.7 | INTERIOR MEDIUM-WIDE 00:08.6–00:09.0 he turns his head and upper body toward the window behind him. 00:09.0–00:09.3 he sees the masked man. A clear, readable look of surprise. 00:09.3 **MAN:** "Ah!" – one brief gasp. 00:09.4–00:09.8 the receiver drops from his hand. 00:09.8–00:10.4 he jumps up and runs toward the camera, leaving the frame to the side. Behind him, the masked man lowers his phone and steps toward the window. **HARD CUT.** --- ## SHOT 09 | 00:10.7–00:11.8 | INTERIOR, facing the window The masked man slides the lower sash up and carefully steps through into the room. The robe moves with real weight. Window creak. **HARD CUT.** --- ## SHOT 10 | 00:11.8–00:13.0 | INTERIOR PRODUCT MACRO The same nightstand at the right end of the bed. The product stands on it, clearly visible. A black-gloved hand enters, grips it at its natural handling point and lifts it with real weight. The empty surface remains. **HARD CUT.** --- ## SHOT 11 | 00:13.0–00:15.0 | INTERIOR CENTERED – PRODUCT PRESENTATION The masked man stands inside the bedroom facing the camera, holding the product in both hands in front of his torso, its key details toward the camera. Warm tungsten light on the product, cold window light rims his robe and mask. 00:13.0–00:14.0 hold the presentation. 00:14.0–00:14.3 he turns his head toward the window. 00:14.3–00:15.0 he turns and walks back toward the window with the product. End on this movement. --- # SOUND Vintage landline ring at 00:00.0. Quiet night ambience, faint phone static, low suspense drone, sparse tension accents. One short accent on the zoom in Shot 06. One sharp sting at his discovery at 00:09.0. Footsteps, fabric movement, window creak. --- # CONTINUITY LOCKS Exactly two people: the protagonist and the masked man. Exactly one product, from **@Image 3**. It stands on the nightstand in every shot until the gloved hand lifts it in Shot 10. Same design, size and position every time. The nightstand stays at the right end of the bed, inside the room, fully in frame whenever shown. Before 00:08.6 his face points into the room and his eyes rest on the door. From the exterior camera only the back of his head and his hair are visible. The masked man's phone stays in his LEFT hand. Same face, outfit, room, light and film grade in every shot. --- # EXCLUSIONS No turning toward the window, no glance over the shoulder and no profile toward the window before 00:08.6. No product disappearing, moving or duplicating before Shot 10. No nightstand under the window or outdoors. No additional characters, no weapons, no physical confrontation, no music track, no narration, no subtitles, no on-screen text, no fade to black, no end card.

Use the product reference as a dedicated image reference and repeat the exact-product constraint.
Product disappears
State that it remains on the nightstand in every shot until Shot 10.
Masked man appears inside too early
Lock his position outside the window until Shot 09.
Protagonist looks at window too early
Explicitly state that his eyes remain on the door until 00:08.6.
Nightstand moves
Describe its exact position relative to the bed and window.
Extra people appear
Use “exactly two people” in the continuity section.
AI adds text/subtitles
Add subtitles, captions, logos, end cards and on-screen text to exclusions.
